Azerbaijan, Czech Republic to discuss cooperation in environment, agriculture
Delegation of committee on agriculture of the House of deputies of the Czech Republic arrives in Baku Oct. 13, the Czech embassy in Azerbaijan said.
Meetings with the partnership committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament and members of the Czech Republic - Azerbaijan interparliamentary group, ministers of agriculture and environment and natural resources are scheduled to be held during the three-day visit.
Issues of cooperation in the field of ecology and agriculture are planned to be discussed.
The delegation is headed by deputy chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Vojtech Filip.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic in January-August 2014 amounted to $447.78 million, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by 1.64 times. This growth has been achieved by increasing the export of Azerbaijani goods to the Czech Republic by almost 2 times.
