Azerbaijan takes over TURKPA Chairmanship
Azerbaijan has taken over the Chairmanship of Turkish-Speaking Countries Parliamentary Assembly (TURKPA) from Turkey at today’s meeting.
Chairmen of Azerbaijani,Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz parliaments taking part at the meeting. 5th meeting of TURKPA kicks off today in Baku.
At the meeting, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly (Parliament) of Turkey CemilÇiçek made a speech and spoke about the activity of TURKPA. Then he announced the transition of the chairmanship to Azerbaijan. Following it, Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker OgtayAsadov gave a speech and accepted the chairmanship.
