Azerbaijani-EU relations discussed in Brussels
A meeting to discuss Azerbaijani-EU relations has been held by the European Parliament`s delegation on South Caucasus in Brussels, Belgium.
Head of the Azerbaijani Mission to the EU Fuad Isgandarov and MP Asim Mollazade attended the meeting.
Mr. Isgandarov said strengthening the country`s independence has been one of the key tasks for Azerbaijan over 25 years after the Black January events. He delivered a report on the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU, as well as official Baku`s expectations from these ties.
Mr. Mollazade spoke of the conflicts faced by Azerbaijan and Eastern Partnership countries, and refugee problems of regional states. He called on the EU to be more active in solving these problems.
Other speakers described Azerbaijan as a strategic partner of the EU.
