Azerbaijani deputy PM: 5.1 bnmanats spent to solve social problems of refugees and IDPs in the last 20 years
“The Azerbaijani government has spent 5.1 billion manats to solve social problems of refugees and IDPs in the past 20 years,” deputy Prime Minister, chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDP Affairs Ali Hasanov has said.
“Of this, 2.3 billion manats have been provided from the state budget, 1.8 billion manats by the State Oil Fund and 1 billion manats by international financial institutions and international humanitarian organizations operating in Azerbaijan,” he told a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socioeconomic development in 2014 and objectives for 2015.
“Some 86% or 4.4 billion manats of these funds has been spent in the past 11 years.”
Mr.Hasanov said: “We have built 89 modern residential areas and multistorey buildings with a total area of 2.8 million square metres so far. The housing conditions of 46,000 families or 230,000 people have been improved.”
