YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents experimental video program
YARAT Contemporary Art Space presented an experimental video program, comprising works by Azerbaijani and foreign artists on December 6 at the National Art Museum.
Works by participants in the ARTIM project under the guidance of curator and artist Sabina Shikhlinskaya and famous French videographer and composer Robert Cahen were presented at the event.
The following works under the guidance of curator and artist Sabina Shikhlinskaya were presented: Sabina Abbasova ‘Facade make-up', Farhad Hagverdi 'Azada', Parvana Persiani 'Playing with fire', Veronika Isayeva 'A girl on an escalator', Natavan Aliyeva 'Betleshmeh', Aykhan Khalilov 'Tied Art', Narmin Israfilova 'The creation of sound', Aykhan Khalilov 'Missed call', Elvin Adigozal 'The eternal clown' and Aysel Naghiyeva ‘Brew’.
The following works under the guidance of famous French videographer and composer Robert Cahen were also presented: Chinara Majidova 'Sidestreet 7' Andrew Nairn ‘Humility’, Tamuna Chaduneli ‘The beauty of independence’, Yana Malysheva ‘In Deep Snow’, Aydan Mirzayeva ‘The Place”, Vusal Rahim ‘The Room’, Vicente Plaza González ‘Paranoia’, Ulviya Hasanova ‘Recursion’, Fatima Huseynzada ‘Mice’, Ilaha Khalygova ‘Invisible’, Nazrin Musayeva ‘Is it worth the effort?’.
The evening program also included experimental video projects by Samir Suleymanov, Azerbaijani director and photographer, winner of the Start 2012 Festival Award (London): ‘The Garden’, ‘AN’, ‘All vehicles carry petrol’, ‘Aghri daghi’.
The event was attended by founder and head of YARAT Contemporary Art Space Aida Mahmudova, as well as cultural figures.
