Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister: European Parliament’s resolution on fictional Armenian genocide totally groundless
“The European Parliament’s resolution on fictional Armenian genocide is totally groundless,” Azerbaijan`s Deputy Prime Minister, chairman of the State Committee for Refugee and IDP Affairs Ali Hasanov has told reporters.
“The adoption of such a biased resolution is a vivid manifestation of the double standards.” Mr Hasanov added that “this indeed is not a new phenomenon”. “Such a step taken by the European Parliament is not surprising at all, as we have had previously witnessed such double standards.”
The Deputy Prime Minister said the Armenian lobby played its role in the European Parliament`s adopting the resolution. He stressed the importance of strengthening joint struggle of the Azerbaijani and Turkish diasporas against such actions.
