The 'Last Letter” film narrating about Çanakkale battle presented in Baku

Presentation of the film "Last Letter" devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Canakkale Battle took place at the “28 Cinema" in Baku.

The event was attended by official representatives of the state and government, the Member of Parliaments, public figures.

Ali Hasanov, Assistant to the Azerbaijani President for Public and Political Affairs, read out the message of the head of state Ilham Aliyev to the participants of presentation of the film "Last Letter".

Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the shown attention. The Ambassador noted that this attention of the President is another evidence to the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood.

Speaking about the bloody fights which happened at Canakkale, the diplomat reminded the heroic events taken place hundred years ago. At his words, “in this battle the Turkish soldiers showed unprecedented courage, and the sons of Azerbaijan were nearby, fought shoulder to shoulder, together with them”. Having emphasized that throughout history they were together with Azerbaijan, Ismail Alper Coskun thanked all who gave support in presentation of the film.

The scriptwriter and director of the film Ozhan Eren, the starring actress of the Azerbaijani origin Nesrin Cavadzade told about the process of shooting. The actress emphasized that is proud of that the film is presented in the city where she was born and grew.

Then, the film was demonstrated.

The scenario of the film has been written on the basis of the letter of the times of battle at Canakkale which reached up nowadays. In the film, starring are Tansel Ongel, Nesrin Cavadzade, Hussein Avni Danyal, Bulent Shakrak, Narmin Huseynova and Barbara Sotelsek, who narrate the story of the pilot Salih Ekrem and a nurse, Nihal. In the most unlucky days of war they take under guardianship a lonely child named Fuat. This child by nickname "Kichik Gazi Fuat" becomes the only witness of the great love of Salih Yuzbashy and the nurse Nihal.
