Deputy Minister says BTK to attract huge traffic flow to Caucasus
The First Deputy Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan JenisKasymbek has said the Baku-Tbilisi-Karsproject will attract huge traffic flow to the Caucasus. He spoke at the business forum "Astana-Batumi".
"We plan to invest about $ 20 bn in transport infrastructure until 2020. Basically it is the infrastructure in the East - West, including the direction of the Caspian Sea and on Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. We have invested heavily in the construction of a new railway "Beyneu -Zhezkazgan" and the second transition on China to maximize the involvement of Chinese transit in the direction of the Persian Gulf and the Caucasus," JenisKasymbek said.
