Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry: Armenia must start talks on peace agreement as soon as possible
“Instead of making meaningless, empty and demagogic statements, the Armenian leadership must comply with the urge and call of the world leaders, first of all, OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, to start talks on peace agreement as soon as possible,” said spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev in response to the statement of the Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian.
“The Armenian leadership should ultimately understand that only after the withdrawal of occupying forces of Armenia from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan as demanded by the international community and the UN Security Council resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884 the peace, security and stability can be restored in the region,” Hajiyev added.
