Alexander Lukashenko: Belarus-Azerbaijan cooperation has big prospects
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has said there were big opportunities for developing Minsk`s cooperation with Azerbaijan as he met the country’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Mr. Lukashenko hailed Belarus-Azerbaijan relations, saying he supports all efforts towards expanding the bilateral cooperation.
FM Mammadyarov said the government of Azerbaijan attached particular importance to its relationship with Belarus. “Our countries share common views on international issues,” he said.
Mr. Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan was taking continuous measures to increase the bilateral trade with Belarus.
The organization of the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission was also discussed, and the Belarus President and the Azerbaijani FM stressed the necessity of enriching the agenda in line with priorities of the development of bilateral cooperation.
