Russian Patriarch: Nagorno-Karabakh problem is on the agenda of our relations
“The agenda of our relations includes the Nagorno-Karabakh problem among other issues, and we work on this front,” Russian Patriarch Kirill has told journalists following his meeting with chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Board Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade in Moscow.
“Today, we exchanged views over the settlement of the problem, which has last for more than 20 years.”
The Patriarch said: “We also discussed the situation in the Near and Middle East. “We agreed that those who use religion as a weapon for their criminal and terrorist actions pose threat to the entire world. Bloodshed in Syria and Iraq is a source of concern for Azerbaijani Muslims and Russian Orthodoxies,” he added.
The Patriarch also said he was planning to visit Azerbaijan.
