Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Commission’s regular meeting held

Regular meeting of the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation was held in Baku.

The Kyrgyz delegation led by Tayirbek Sarpashev, First Deputy Prime Minister, has met with Artur Rasizade, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the meeting, co-chair of the Intergovernmental Commission, First Deputy Premier Yagub Eyyubov noted the fraternal relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. ”The Commission will give certain contribution to the development of these ties”, he stressed. Stating that national leader Heydar Aliyev’s far-sighted policy and President Ilham Aliyev’s efforts have led the country to consistent progress today, Eyyubov highlighted quick developing economy of Azerbaijan, the successfully realized oil and energy projects, as well as socio-economic accomplishments in other fields. .

Touching upon the painful problem of Azerbaijan, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Eyyubov informed about 20-years long occupation of Azerbaijani lands, annihilation of material-cultural monuments of Azerbaijan by the Armenians.   

Head of the Kyrgyz delegation, First Deputy Prime Minister Tayirbek Sarpashev said his country is interested in strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan in agriculture, trade-economic, scientific-technical, transport, communications, tourism and cultural fields. .

Kyrgyzstan's First Deputy Prime Minister Taiyrbek Sarpashev stressed that the government of Kyrgyzstan is interested in further strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijani companies and is ready to create all necessary conditions for attracting investments in the processing industry, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies in the production of agricultural products.
