Baku to host conference on implementation of strategy and action plan for social cohesion of CoE member states
Baku will host a conference dedicated to the implementation of the strategy and action plan for social cohesion of the member countries of the Council of Europe on September 10-11.
To be held under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the conference will involve state officials from the member countries responsible for labor and social security.
Azerbaijan has ratified substantial documents regarding human and social rights since joining the Council in 2001.
The country is carrying out purposeful actions towards creating favorable conditions for implementing main principles of the strategy and action plan for social cohesion, and brining its social legislation in line with modern European standards.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Defense is actively cooperating with the Committee on Social Cohesion of the Council of Europe.
