Azerbaijani armed forces repulse another attack by Armenian reconnaissance-raiding groups
“The Armenian reconnaissance-raiding groups have again attacked our positions on the frontline in the direction of Aghdam-Aghdara on August 1 and on the night of August 2,” the press service of Azerbaijan`s Defence Ministry said.
“Thanks to the valour of servicemen of our armed forces` units, the attack was resolutely repulsed. The enemy was forced to retreat suffering loses.”
The following four servicemen of the Azerbaijani armed forces were killed in the incident: Warrant Officer AliyevParvinSalahaddinoghlu, Junior Warrant Officer HuseynovRahilAfsaroghlu, Junior Warrant Officer AhmadovElchinRasimoghlu and Career Serviceman GuliyevSarkhanGeyratoghlu.
“The leadership of the Defence Ministry offers its deepest condolences to the parents and relatives of the martyrs and wishes them patience,” the statement added.
According to the Defence Ministry, “the situation in that direction is fully under control of the Azerbaijani armed forces”.
