3rd plenary meeting of OSCE PA Annual Session kicks of in Baku
The 3rd plenary meeting of the OSCE PA`s 23rd Annual Session titled “Helsinki +40: towards human security for all” has today started in Baku.
Opening the meeting, President of the OSCE PA, Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapic informed the participants about the agenda.
Walburga Habsburg Douglas delivered a report on behalf of OSCE PA’s Special Representative on Gender Issues Hedy Fry. Stressing the importance of measures to be taken for increasing women`s role in political-social life, Habsburg Douglas underlined the significance of joint work towards solving gender problems in the OSCE region.
Italian MP Marietta Tidei called on the participants to find out ways of expanding women`s presence in the social life and proposed carrying out researches in this field.
