Three-volume book titled “Leyla Aliyeva: “Justice for Khojaly!” presented

The three-volume book titled "Leyla Aliyeva: "Justice for Khojaly!" has been presented.

The State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, the Institute for Human Rights of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), “Justice for Khojaly” International Awareness Campaign and “Caspian Izvestiya” International Information Agency have today jointly organized the presentation of the three-volume book titled “Leyla Aliyeva: “Justice for Khojaly!” (new strategic model against international Armenian terror) by honored journalist Vasif Samadov and doctor of philosophy in political sciences Rovshan Valizadeh.

Vasif Samadov delivered a keynote speech at the event.

Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said Khojaly genocide recieved a political assessment after Heydar Aliyev had returned to power. He also spoke of the works carried out by President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva in the direction of introducing the Khojaly genocide to the world. He said crucial steps were taken in 2013 for the worldwide recognition of the Khojaly genocide, adding that the works done over the last 5 years as part of “Justice for Khojaly” campaign under Leyla Aliyeva’s leadership are of great importance and that 90 percent of the world countries already have information about the Khojaly genocide. The Chairman of the State Committee extended his gratitude to everyone who contributed to preparing this book.

Hasanov instructed to translate the book into English and Russian, because the main issue is to inform the international community about this tragedy: “The 366th infantry regiment in Khankendi played a major role in perpetration of this tragedy. 80 percent of the regiment staff became Armenian with the help of Russian Defense Minister Pavel Grachev. Chief of the counterintelligence unit of the regiment Vladimir Solovyov said they could not do anything to prevent the tragedy and failed to defend their honor as a Russian officer. He noted that the only thing that was in his power is to send an inquiry to the Kremlin about what happened”.

Hasanov noted that PPK leader Abdullah Öcalan, Armenian writer Zori Balayan, former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan and incumbent President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan had a table-talk around Lake Sevan in 1993: “Robert Kocharyan said Abdullah Öcalan that we returned the lands, these lands belong us. In his turn, Abdullah Öcalan said that these lands belong to our ancestors, we have good cooperation with Russian and Iranian servicemen. The world community wants us to solve the problems standing face to face with the Nazis”.
