President Ilham Aliyev received the President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe
On June 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe Herwig van Staa.
President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the CoE Herwig van Staa said ongoing big development processes in Baku made a deep impression on him.
The head of state noted that the rapid development was taking place not only in the capital, but also in different regions of the country.
President Ilham Aliyev said three state programmes on socio-economic development of regions were approved and successfully implemented in the country.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe and prospects for the country`s cooperation with the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
